Hello November

Hi Friends,

I don't know if anyone reads this blog, but I feel that I haven't written a post in forever. Though I have been trying to post whatever I've been working on. So... How fast did we get to November which is my birth month :) I'm a very happy fiftysomething. I have my hand dipped in so many types of crafts it makes my head spin. but a happy delirium it is.  I have come to appreciate that in actuality it is me who has to appreciate what I make, because when I do, my family and close friends appreciate what I make also, its kinda of a contagious feeling when your excited and happy about something.

I am working on perfecting my tutorial skills, which have a lot to be desired, I really stink at it, but I do try. So I have been working on the details of making a tutorial (written or videoed ) so that it is complete and comprehensible to all. teehee

Also, been making lil beanies for preemies in my local hospitals, I have a current drive for yarn donations and for crochet artisan's to volunteer their time and love. I have been willing to take on beginners, so that I can barter crochet lessons for completed beanies and blankets. I have had some promising responses to the project even nice donations. I hope to have a good lot for the holiday's to drop off at the hospitals.

Well I hope your start to the holiday season is stress free, remember its always the thought that counts. Don't let manufactures tell you what you need to demonstrate your love of family and friends, you can do that yourself with words and deeds to back up the sentiment, the simplest of things can tell someone you thought of them... peace above all friends :)

Little Sprouts Beanies for Preemies

Dear Friends and Family,

This is an open call for crochet artisans  in the greater Bridgeport area, that would like to volunteer / donate their time for such a worthy cause.  All levels of experience wanted even beginners, what a better way to hone your craft,Then by practicing making beanies and baby blankets.

The proceeds of this drive will go to the Saint Vincents & Bridgeport Hospitals neonatal (Neo = new; natal = birth.)  nurseries.  These beautiful boy and girl preemie beanie's will go directly to premature, low-birth weight babies. It is very vital that these babies  keep their body warmth and these beanies will help them do just that. These tiny miracles and their families need all the love and support we can give them as a community.

In addition I am looking for Baby Yarn donations, in all colors and weight, except for mohair and fibers. Mohair and fibers can not be used on a preemies sensitive skin. Gift Card to local stores and Craft Stores Welcome!

I hope to hear back from all my friends and family this is a very worth while cause, a labor of love that will be appreciated by the families of all the preemies in Saint Vee's and at Bridgeport Hospitals.

If you have any questions, concerns or would like to know how you can help please send me a private message.
Thank you very much. hugs
